Germany will face USA and Mexico

Thomas Müller and Mats Hummels, a seasoned duo, were a part of Julian Nagelsmann's first Germany team for the upcoming exhibitions against the United States and Mexico.

Nagelsmann was named on September 22 to succeed Hansi Flick, who had been fired two weeks earlier after a string of disappointing defeats, and he became Germany's 12th head coach.

The 34-year-old centre-back Hummels has returned for the initial time since gaining his 76th appearance at the UEFA European Championship in 2021, according to the former Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig, and Bayern Munich manager, who has chosen a 26-man team.

After being reinstated to the national squad for September's friendly against Japan and France, Müller (123 caps, also 34) is included once more.

At the highest international level, Robert Andrich of Bayer Leverkusen, Chris Führich of VfB Stuttgart, and Kevin Behrens of Union Berlin are the three newcomers.
