Jamal Musiala is a former Chelsea youth team player

According to SportBild, Liverpool are looking to sign Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich. Musiala has represented England at various youth levels but is now a German national.

The 20-year-old has been on the wishlist of the Reds. He was a Chelsea youth player during his time in England.

Liverpool have some good relations with Bayern Munich over the years. Thiago was signed from the German champions. Later on, Sadio Mane was sold to them. Ryan Gravenberch is the latest player to make a move from one club to the other.

Jamal Musiala is under Bayern's contract until 2026. Reports from SportBild also suggest that Musiala's agents are currently not talking to the club about extending his contract with Bayern Munich. There are also reports that the German giants are struggling to extend the contract of the player.

Leroy Sane has also been linked with a move to Anfield in the last few days. There are reports suggesting that Mo Salah might be thinking about leaving the English club in the summer and Sane will be the perfect replacement for him.

It was then claimed Sane would only make a decision on his next steps after the current season's end, fanning the flames of this rumour for just a little longer.

German publication Bild added that another of Munich's squad, Musiala, is in the same boat. "It is a dangerous situation for Bayern," according to the report.

This situation is said to be "gnawing" at the 2023 Golden Boy award candidate, and contract talks have ceased until the picture is clearer to both Musiala and his representatives on both subjects.

Jurgen Klopp has been a keen admirer of the player and he might plan to bring him next summer. However, Bayern Munich won't allow them to take their wonderkid that easily.
