The German has only one year left on his Real Madrid contract

According to reports, Manchester City are prepared to make a sizable offer to a frequent champion of the Champions League Toni Kroos in order to secure his free move to the Etihad Stadium in the summer that follows.

Toni Kroos is right now on the treble winners' radar, and if he comes from Real Madrid next summer, his earnings might be increased, claims Spanish publication Defensa Central.

According to the source, Kroos, who has won five Champions League championship medals in his career with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, will be given a two-year contract to join Manchester City, and the English team is willing to quadruple his salary from €9 million to €18 million.

Seven years into Pep Guardiola's tenure at Manchester City, the club eventually won the Champions League for the initial occasion in its entire existence in 2022–23.

However, the Spaniard isn't pleased with resting there and would like to strengthen his team with even more seasoned champions.

In addition to Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol, Matheus Nunes, and Jeremy Doku joined the club in the summer. Manchester City now wants to add to those acquisitions with further expertise in Europe's top leagues.

The 33-year-old German only agreed to a one-year extension of his agreement with Los Blancos already this year, thus his current Real Madrid deal is set to expire in June 2024.

Kroos will thus be allowed to discuss the possibility of a pre-contract deal in January with clubs not based in Spain, and City are leading the race to sign him.

Kroos turned down offers from the MLS and Saudi Arabia after agreeing to a one-year deal with Real. He once stated that he intends to continue playing for the club until he retires, but only if he can continue to consistently start games.
