Mohamed Salah scored a brace in Liverpool's draw against Brighton

Liverpool were forced to accept a point after an intriguing 2-2 draw with Brighton as Mohamed Salah overtook Robin van Persie in the Premier League's all-time scoring list with two goals.

This season, Jurgen Klopp's team has a reputation of getting out to a poor start before picking up speed. At the Amex Stadium, it appeared that the same pattern had continued as they reacted effectively to last weekend's contentious loss to Tottenham.

All productive teams are a direct result of their manager. After an average professional playing career in Germany, Klopp rose to the pinnacle of the Premier League's elite.

Klopp's capacity for overcoming obstacles and "attacking the title," as he once described it, carried over to his first outstanding Liverpool side on his ascent to the top and appears to be doing so once more.

Even during slumps like last season, Mo Salah has been exceedingly magnificent. There are two crucial variables to take into account for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp as the veteran of the squad. First off, compared to his overall performance from last season, the former Roma player is showing no signs of slowing down.

But more crucially, he can't continue indefinitely, therefore the other forwards must progressively lessen their reliance on Salah to constantly make a difference.

After being denied possession of the ball in his own area, Pascal Gross dragged Dominik Szoboszlai to the soil as punishment. The Brighton player may have been fortunate to escape with only a yellow or even a red card, but Salah made sure there was a minimum sanction by converting the penalty.

After coming in at halftime, Ryan Gravenberch had a fantastic opportunity to increase Liverpool's advantage when Szoboszlai found him with a beautiful cross, but the Dutchman nevertheless managed to hit the crossbar with his effort from a few yards away.
