Real Madrid looking to sign Alphonso Davies for just €40m next summer

Davies contract extension has hit snag at Bayern
Alphonso Davies’ renewed contract negotiations with Bayern Munich were apparently placed on hold, according to Sport Bild, and Real Madrid will attempt to sign the left-back next summer for about €40 million.
Davies was slated to begin an extension of contract conversations for his present term, which expires in 2025, before Hasan Salihamidi’s exit from Bayern, but those discussions have since been put aside and aren’t expected to be returning any time soon.
Bayern are opposed to losing Davies, but if they keep delaying talks, the 22-year-old’s negotiating stance will be much stronger.

Real is a great fan of Davies and believes that he should be selected above Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy for the left-back spot in the team. Real, who is aware that signing Davies will not be simple, has established a price range in which they are prepared to negotiate.
Real is willing to spend up to €50 million to acquire Davies next summer, but they would prefer to pay less. This strategy is identical to the one they used with Jude Bellingham in the summer when they initially refused to pay more than €100 million but ultimately settled for a €103 million base fee.
According to Bild, the player’s agent Nick Househ is sounding optimistic about a probable transfer. He spoke
“Real is a big club, I’m a big fan. Real is a big name. When you hear rumours about your protégé, it makes you proud. We still have a two-year contract with Bayern. We will wait and see how everything develops in the coming weeks.”

The newspaper also states that despite not having started contract extension discussions with Davies, Bayern is committed to keeping him.
The soaring full-back will be concentrating on Bayern’s match this evening against struggling Mainz.
