Sergi Roberto set to miss El Clasico after suffering a muscular injury

Another player added to Barcelona's growing injury list

At FC Barcelona, at present, there are eight injured players. During the first team's Wednesday joint practice with Barça Atlètic, Sergi Roberto suffered an injury. A medical report from the club confirming the player's ailment has now been released.

He will not be able to play in Sunday's match at Montjuc versus Athletic due to an ailment that we do not yet fully understand.

Roberto has the opportunity to play either Athletic or Shakhtar next Wednesday in the Champions League from the outset due to the club's injury woes. For Xavi, who sees his players leaving like "flies," it is yet another blow.

"The first team player Sergi Roberto has an injury in the soleus of his right leg (calf). He is out of action and his evolution will mark his availability," Barcelona said in the statement.

The harm looks to be modest based on the initial scans. If he makes good progress, it is possible that he will be ready for the classic on October 28. Theoretically, 7–10 days off.

Additionally injured recently were Alejandro Balde, Pedri, Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong, Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha.

Sergi Roberto, who is multifaceted, will store these items in the hospital's emergency room till further notice. It predicts that it will lose the split in front of Athletic, Shakhtar, and, maybe, the Classical in front of Real Madrid based on an initial assessment.

It will be important to monitor his emotions over the coming days while the Barcelona medical services carefully assess his condition.
