I-League stalwart Churchill Brothers have secured the signing of prolific Nigerian forward Ogana Ugochukwu Louis. The skillful goal machine last played for the Goan outfit’s league rivals Sreenidi Deccan.

Churchill Brothers seemed to struggle in their opening game when they failed to find the back of the net even once and were forced to share the spoils with I-League debutants Namdhari FC. The officials of the two-time I-League champions seemed to have acted swiftly to bolster the attacking prowess of the side.

How signing Ogana Louis can prove to be boon for Churchill Brothers?

Churchill Brothers securing the signature of this 6 feet 1-inch prolific goal scorer could be seen as a masterstroke. Currently placed sixth in the table with one win and a draw, Argentine coach Edgardo Malvestiti will feel blessed on entry of the goal machine. 

It would be interesting to see how fast Argentine forward Ricardo Dichiara (who scored a brace in Sri Nagar to give Churchill Brothers their first win) gels up with Nigerian goal machine Ogana Louis to set a goal fest in their upcoming matches and raise their ranks higher. Fans of The Red Machines will surely now dream of their third I-League trophy with the attacking woes looking solved now. 

The 27-year-old Nigerian center-forward has had a terrific record when he played in India. Being an integral part of the  Sreenidi Deccan side, Ogana Louis has been a hero in many wars they fought on the pitch. From his very debut which came on 3rd March 2022, he has proved to be a lethal goal hunter for his side.

Ogana Louis opened his account in India in his opening game for Sreenidi Deccan where they played against TRAU, resulting in a 3-1 victory. Sreenidi Deccan, back then playing their first I-League season finished their campaign in style and sealed the third spot after bagging 32 points in 18 matches.
