ISL 2023-24: Top five goal-scoring teams

The ISL 2023-24 edition is proving to be one blockbuster!

The 10 edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) is up and running. India’s top flight has had a lot of improvement over the years and has now become a 12-team affair with Punjab FC becoming the latest entrants after becoming first I-League side to gain promotion to the top tier.

The league is currently undergoing a break due to the international break for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. It has been a high scoring affair so far in the league with almost all the sides having played six games.

On that note, let us take a look at the top five goal-scoring teams in this edition.

5. Kerala Blasters FC – 9

Kerala Blasters rank at number five. They have nine goals in six games. Out of their six games, they have won four, lost one and drawn one each. The Blasters’ top scorer is their skipper Adrian Luna who leads the charts with three goals to his game.

4. Mumbai City FC – 9

Next up, Mumbai City FC find themselves on the fourth spot and have also scored nine goals. They’re level in terms of goals with the Blasters, but have played just five games. The Islanders are currently undefeated, having won thrice and playing out two draws in the ISL 2023-24 campaign.

3. FC Goa – 9

FC Goa are also on level terms with Mumbai City FC and Kerala Blasters, but have a better goal difference in comparison to the Islanders. The Gaurs have scored nine goals in five games and are currently undefeated. They have won four games and drawn one and are placed at the top of the table.

2. Mohun Bagan – 10

Mohun Bagan have played the least number of games and have scored the second most number of goals in the league. They’ve scored 10 goals in just four games and currently find themselves on the fourth spot, having won all of their fixtures.

1. Odisha FC – 11

Sergio Lobera’s Odisha FC are unsurprisingly leading the charts for scoring the most number of goals so far in the season. The Kalinga Warriors have scored 11 goals in their opening six games and are currently placed on the fifth position.
