Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri has expressed his support for the Indian cricket team through a tweet midway of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He has also urged the fans present at the stadium to continue motivating the team to the fullest extent. 

He tweeted, “To every Indian supporter in the stadium - make sure that our bowlers run up to a roar for every SINGLE BALL.”

Sunil also mentioned India's remarkable accomplishment in the tournament, as they maintained an undefeated record in 10 matches during the league stage. He said, “This team has given us 10 flawless games. Let’s give them an unforgettable one. Pull these boys over the line.”

India are playing against Australia in the final match of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. Opting to field first after winning the toss, Australia successfully restricted India to a total of 240 runs. KL Rahul emerged as the highest scorer for India, contributing 66 runs to the team's total.

Virat Kohli also scored a half-century before being dismissed for 54 runs by Australian captain Pat Cummins. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma laid a solid foundation to the innings but unfortunately had to depart after scoring 47 runs off just 31 balls.

For Australia, Mitchell Starc emerged as the standout bowler, claiming three wickets for a total of 55 runs. Both Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins contributed with two wickets each.
