Amara Diouf has represented the Senegal football team

Amara Diouf scored a brace in the second half against Argentina in Senegal's opening match in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023. The Senegalese U-17 team started their campaign with a 2-1 win over the South American nation.

Amara Diouf joined the Génération Foot Academy in 2017, after impressing in the Danone Nations Cup. In 2023, he was a standout in the Mohammed VI under-19s tournament in Morocco, where Génération Foot won the competition, after eliminating the likes of Real Madrid. It was reported that Diouf will join FC Metz when he comes of age, following the same path as his compatriot Sadio Mané.

In August 2023, Diouf was called up to the senior squad to face Rwanda in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers and a friendly against Algeria. On 9 September, he made his debut in a 1–1 draw against Rwanda, to be his country's youngest debutant, aged 15 years and 94 days.

The FIFA U-17 World Cup started yesterday and eight matches have been played so far in the tournament. Group E and Group F teams are yet to play in the tournament.

Panama and Morocco played the opening match of the tournament. This match ended in a 2-0 win for Panama. Malu U-17 came off as the winner in the second match of the tournament played against Uzbekistan.

Hosts Indonesia were held to a 1-1 draw by Ecuador in their match. Spain then overcame Canada with a 2-0 scoreline.

England U-17 showed their dominance by scoring 10 past New Caledonia in their opening match. Japan then registered a narrow 1-0 win over Poland in their Group D match. Iran also registered a surprising 3-2 win over the defending champions Brazil.
