Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham were promoted to EFL League Two
According to Anthony Forde, Ryan Reynolds, a co-owner of Wrexham, provided an additional examination after learning that his wife had a brain tumour.
The Irish midfield player’s personal life took a serious hit in the middle of the 2022–23 season.
Before his brother’s leukaemia was discovered a few weeks after the birth of his son Paddy, the 29-year-old had a difficult period off the pitch.
Laura, Forde’s partner, complained of feeling poorly and had an MRI, which revealed she had a brain tumour. Due to his numerous off-field responsibilities, Forde took a two-month hiatus from his official duties.
The film Welcome to Wrexham documentary features Forde’s narrative. In the first episode of season two, the Irishman explained why he felt he wanted to take a break from football.
