Australia are one of the favourites to make it to the FIFA World Cup 2026

Australia are one of the favourites from their group to advance and will look to start the qualifying campaign with a win against an opponent they have enjoyed playing against. They have faced them two times prior to this match and have resulted in huge victories for them. Graham Arnold will have to make sure that his team starts getting consistent results as can be seen from the past five matches where they have won just 1 drawn 1 and lost the remaining three matches.

Bangladesh have been in good form lately after eliminating Maldives in the first round, winning the home tie by 2-1 in the second leg and drawing 1-1 away in the first leg. They will be facing a huge task against the Socceroos who have been a regular fixture in the World Cups. They will aim to at least get a point from this match so that they can be in the top two to qualify for the next rounds.
