Kylian Mbappe provides cryptic response about his future at PSG

Kylian Mbappe will become a free agent next season

Kylian Mbappe refuses to talk about his future at PSG, stating that everything will be "resolved one day" in the end.

Real Madrid were mentioned as a primary destination for the Frenchman, who has been linked to a move away from Ligue 1.

Though Mbappe's new two-year contract with PSG includes an option for an additional year until 2025 that he alone may trigger, it hasn't exactly put an end to the whispers that he might be leaving the Parc des Princes.

However, the 24-year-old said he did not want to talk about what lies ahead after recording a hat-trick in France's unprecedented 14-0 thumping of Gibraltar on Saturday night.

'It’s something I don’t want to talk about, especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the time with the national team,' he told Telefoot.

'I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that.'

Real has been after Mbappe for more than two years, and the World Cup winner from 2018 has been the subject of a protracted drama.

The summer of 2021 saw the rejection of two proposals totalling over £140 million by the Spanish powerhouses for Mbappe, who was on the verge of joining them for free after his professional agreement ended the previous year.

Mbappe first told PSG executives he would not be accepting a new contract, but he ultimately changed his mind at the last minute and agreed to a two-year extension.

When Mbappe was kicked out of PSG's squad in the summer after telling the team he was not going to be exercising his option to stay in Paris for an additional year, his future once again appeared in light.
