According to reports, Manchester United are prepared to pay Antoine Griezmann three times his current salary in order to get the Atletico Madrid player to move to Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag’s future is in grave danger as the Red Devils are off to their worst start in 61 years as a team.

After United’s prospects of qualifying for Europe were severely damaged by a 4-3 loss to FC Copenhagen in the Champions League, another straight victory over Luton restored salvage a little pride.

Marcus Rashford, for example, has only scored once this season, falling short of last season’s heights.

fresh signee In his ten Premier League games, Rasmus Hojlund has also not scored, and neither Anthony Martial nor Antony has performed well while wearing a United shirt.

Another player who has lost favour under Ten Hag is Jadon Sancho, who was expelled from the first team after a public argument with Ten Hag.

Griezmann would therefore be a desirable addition to United’s forward line, based on the Spanish publication El Nacional.

According to the report, Old Trafford officials have already visited Spain to negotiate a possible trade with the player’s representative.

According to reports, United are prepared to triple Griezmann’s Atletico Madrid salary in an effort to persuade him to join the team. Griezmann would therefore be paid €21 million (£18.4 million) annually.

That would put him among the highest-paid players in the Premier League at almost £350,000 a week.

According to the report, Griezmann has the option to leave at the Civitas Metropolitan Stadium for about €25 million, which makes him a fairly priced choice considering the Frenchman’s extensive expertise.

Griezmann completed a £24 million move from Real Sociedad to Atletico Madrid in 2014.

After Barcelona exercised his £105 million buy-out provision in 2019, he signed with them, however, his performance suffered.

In 2021, the striker made a season-long loan back to Atletico Madrid before concluding a permanent transfer the following year. For the Spanish powerhouses, he has tallied 169 goals and contributed 77 assists.
