Nenad Bjelica becomes new Union Berlin manager

Union Berlin ended their nine-match losing streak this weekend
According to media sources, Nenad Bjelica, a Croatian, is the new coach of Bundesliga team Union Berlin after rumours about the arrival of world-class player Raúl persisted.
According to TV station Sky, the 52-year-old is anticipated to sign a deal with the team this Sunday. Gianluca Di Marzio, an Italian transfer analyst for Sky Sport Italia, has made a similar report.
Before, "Kicker" had first revealed that there were growing indications that Real Madrid icon Raúl would succeed long-serving coach Urs Fischer at the Köpenickers. Union and the Swiss manager mutually parted ways this week, following months of defeats and a decline into a position of relegation.
Up until mid-October, Trabzonspor of the Turkish First Division employed Bjelica as their coach. He played for Austria Vienna and Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. The 52-year-old played football for 1. FC Kaiserslautern in Germany and worked for a while in Austria. German language proficiency of the head coach is highly valued by Union.
But today, everything is completely different. From September 2020, Bjelica has served as Osijek's manager. In the past, he was the manager of Dinamo Zagreb and the head coach of Lech from Vienna, Austria's Spezia.
Ognjen Bakić and Nikola Janjić, two football players from Montenegro, are also active in Osijek.
Bjelica was let go from Trabzonspor following a string of unsatisfactory performances and a brief stay in Turkey. Prior to that, he oversaw a number of companies, including Austria Vienna, Dinamo, Osijek, and Lech Poznan.
After five years as Union's manager and a trip to the Bundesliga and the Champions League, Fischer lost his position due to a string of nine league losses.
