In Saturday's 1-0 Premier League victory over Luton at Old Trafford, both players were substituted off early, leaving coach Erik ten Hag shorthanded by eight first-team members.

Midfielder Eriksen had trouble with his knee in the first half, and Hojlund, the striker who cost £72 million, exited the pitch towards the conclusion of the match due to a hamstring issue.

Due to injuries, Man Utd already lacks Amad Diallo, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, and Luke Shaw.

Due to a disciplinary matter, Jadon Sancho is still banished, while Aaron Wan Bissaka, who recently returned from injury, was unable to play on Saturday due to illness.

Regarding Hojlund's injury, which occurred on Saturday, Ten Hag stated: Hojlund is United's leading scorer this season.

"In this moment I can't say anything about it [Højlund's injury] because I don't know. "We do an assessment but have to wait for 24 hours to see what the conclusion is. Give them, the medical [team], 24 hours to see what the problem is, if there is a problem."

The duration of Hojlund's absence is yet unknown. United's next game following the international break is on November 26 when they play Everton in the league, live on Sky Sports.

Ten Hag might suffer from losing Hojlund, United's obvious first-choice striker, for an extended time before a challenging stretch of matches that includes a crucial match at Galatasaray that will determine their place in the Champions League.
