Top three players with most hat-tricks in Ligue 1 since 2000

Scoring three goals in a single game is every footballer’s dream.
Since the inception of the French football league competition, Ligue 1, in 1948, more than 200 players from 49 countries have scored three goals (a hat-trick) or more in a single match. Scoring a hat trick in football is a tough task. It’s rare that a player scores three goals in a single game and takes home the match ball. The vast majority of professional footballers go through their whole career without ever scoring three times in a match.
However, not every player is capable of scoring hat-tricks regularly and here, we take a look at the top three players with most hat-tricks in Ligue 1 since 2000:
3. Wissam Ben Yedder – 5 hat-tricks
The Monaco striker has spent most of his career in the French top division i.e. Ligue 1 and have scored a lot of goals. He is known for his finishing and even after having a small frame, he is very robust. On 11 June 2019, Ben Yedder made his first start for the France senior team and scored his first senior international goal, in the 4–0 away win over Andorra in a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying match.
He was left out by France for their September 2022 fixtures due to a slow start to the club season; though his form improved, he was not recalled for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After that, he was not able to impress the National team coach and was never selected for any international match.
2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 7 hat-tricks

While naturally right-footed, Ibrahimović was a powerful and accurate striker of the ball from both inside or outside the penalty area with either foot. An accurate finisher with his head as well as with his feet, his height, elevation, and strength often used to give him an advantage in winning aerial challenges. Considered to be one of the best strikers of his generation, he was a very special player. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored 7 hat-tricks for PSG in Ligue 1
1. Kylian Mbappe – 8 hat-tricks
A versatile forward, Mbappé often plays as a winger, and is capable of playing on either flank, due to his ability with both feet. He is also able to play in the centre as a main striker, due to his composure, clinical finishing, and eye for a goal. A highly skilful player, Mbappé is known for his dribbling ability, as well as his explosive acceleration, agility, quick feet, first touch, link-up play and creativity when in possession of the ball.
He has already broken many records and also made new records to his name, he is considered to be one of the best footballers as of now, only 24 years old he has already achieved a lot as a player and he will achieve many more in future as well.
