I-League: Gokulam Kerala sign Nikola Stojanovic

Nikola Stojanovic joins the club as a potential replacement to Nili Perdomo.
In the most recent development, Gokulam Kerala FC have officially acquired the services of Serbian midfielder Nikola Stojanovic.
Prior to this move, Nikola had been associated with Mohammedan SC in India, but parted ways with the club in June 2023. Subsequently, he remained a free player until securing a place in the Kerala-based outfit for the current season.
Gokulam Kerala FC also took to their official Instagram handle to announce the arrival of the midfielder as they wrote “Big news! Serbian midfielder Nikola Stojanović joins our ranks! Let’s give him a warm welcome!”
Nikola Stojanovic’s experience in India
Nikola plyed his trade on Indian soil as a member of Mohammedan SC from 2021 to 2023. During this period, he contributed to the club by participating in 36 matches, scoring six goals, and providing 16 assists for the team. He has also captained Mohammedan SC in the 2021 Durand Cup and helped them reach the final.
The signing of the Serbian midfielder serves as a replacement for Nili Perdomo. He is expected to assume a leadership role in midfield, offering valuable experience to the team. His objective will be to form a strong partnership with Edu Bedia and Komron Tursunov in order to contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming matches.
His experience of playing in India will undoubtedly help the club, and the younger players in the team will benefit from his tactical inputs in the dressing room.

Nili Perdomo recently parted ways with Gokulam Kerala. The midfielder significantly contributed to the team’s performance until the mid-season break, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
