The game between both the sides ended in a 1-1 draw.

The phase 2 of  2023-24 Indian Super League (ISL)  has kicked off with Jamshedpur FC hosting the NorthEast United FC at the Furnace. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.  The former NorthEast United FC’s man Imran Khan was on the score-sheet giving the hosts the lead on 33rd minute. The Highlanders equalized through Mohammad Ali Bemmammer in the 66th minute. 

Both the teams have scored a point each, in spite of that the current tally won’t propel them ahead in the standings. 

A brief look at the points table 

The points table remains the same as  Kerala Blasters retain the top position in the points table, amassing 26 points from 12 matches, comprising eight victories and two draws.

FC Goa has secured the second position on the leaderboard with 24 points from 10 matches, while Odisha FC follows closely with 24 points from 12 matches. 

The fourth position is currently occupied by Mumbai City FC, with 22 points from 11 matches. Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan Super Giant holds the fifth position with 19 points from 10 matches, after suffering three consecutive defeats.

NorthEast United FC find themselves in sixth place with 13 points while Chennaiyin FC are currently placed at seventh  with 12 points. 

East Bengal and Bengaluru FC currently have an equal number of points on the table, with both teams holding 11 points. Despite the points, East Bengal maintains a higher position in eighth place due to a superior goal difference when compared to Bengaluru FC.

Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC, and Hyderabad FC are positioned lower in this year’s ISL standings as they currently hold the 10th, 11th, and 12th positions, respectively.

Players with most goals after the 69th match in ISL 2023-24

Kerala Blasters forward Dimitrios Diamantakos still holds the top spot in the table with 7 goals from 10 matches. In their last game against Mohun Bagan also he was instrumental in providing them a win with 1-0 scoreline. Odisha FC’s flamboyant striker Roy Krishna holds the second position with 7 goals but he has played two more matches as compared to Diamantakos.

3. Jorge Pereyra Diaz (Mumbai City FC) – 6 goals 

4. Daniel Chima Chukwu (Jamshedpur FC) – 5 goals

5. Cleiton Silva (East Bengal) – 5 goals

Players with most assists after the 69th match in ISL 2023-24

The top of the list remains unchanged this week, as Rafael Schuler Crivellaro maintains the lead with five assists in 12 games. Sahal Abdul Samad also retains the second spot with four assists.

1. Rafael Schuler Crivellaro (Chennaiyin FC) – 5 assists 

2. Sahal Abdul Samad (Mohun Bagan) – 4 Assists 

3. Adrian Nicolas Luna (Kerala Blasters) – 4 assists 

4. Liston Calco (Mohun Bagan) – 3 assists 

5. Victor Rodriguez Romero (FC Goa) – 3 assists
