Odisha FC haven’t conceded a single goal in any of their three matches during the ongoing IWL.

After an engaging football battle, Odisha FC emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Sethu FC in their recent match at the Bhubaneswar Football Academy in Bhubaneswar. With the win, the Odisha team also maintained their undefeated streak in the tournament.

The club owner of Odisha FC, Rohan Sharma, took to Twitter to acknowledge the team’s performance and extend his heartfelt congratulations. He also conveyed gratitude for the team’s endeavors on the field, while simultaneously highlighting the team’s somewhat subpar performance in comparison to previous matches.

He wrote, “A gritty gritty result. I’m ofcourse happy with the win, but I felt we didn’t look as lethal as we usually do.”

This marks the third victory for Odisha FC in the current season of the tournament. Prior to the Christmas break, they secured wins against Sports Odisha and Gokulam Kerala FC.

While Indumathi Kathiresan was the sole goal scorer in the match against Sethu FC, achieving a goal in the 66th minute through a penalty, Astam Oraon and Shreya Hooda performed admirably, effectively thwarting the opposition while maintaining the momentum in their favor.

Sharma also appreciated the three players in his tweet stating, “My WOTM has to be Shreya. She’s been elite this season. Gotta give love to Astam+Indu as well.”

In a noteworthy accomplishment, the women of Odisha FC haven’t conceded a single goal in any of their three matches during the ongoing IWL 2023-24. Each of their matches has concluded in a clean sheet victory, which as also mentioned by Sharma in note. He wrote, “Also, love to our Defense who have let in 0 goals so far. Incredible!!”

Odisha FC is scheduled to compete against HOPS FC on 10th of January at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, who has secured only one victory in the three matches this season.
