They are vulnerable and we will try to expose them, asserts Mumbai City boss Petr Kratky

Kratky further stated that Odisha FC is a quality team.
Mumbai City FC, riding high on their impeccable performance in the Kalinga Super Cup group stage, faces a formidable challenge in the semifinals against Odisha FC. Petr Kratky, the team’s coach, anticipates a tough clash, especially with several key players unavailable due to their commitments in the AFC Asian Cup.
Kratky, gearing up for his first encounter against Odisha FC, expressed his concerns and strategies in a press conference leading up to the crucial match. The absence of key players poses a significant hurdle for the ISL giants, requiring strategic adjustments and resilience to secure a spot in the tournament’s final.
Let’s take a look on what Kratky had to say ahead of their clash against Odisha FC:
Thoughts on the game
Odisha FC under Sergio Lobera are one of the best clubs in India. Petr Kratky too acknowledges that and said, “It will be obvious challenge, we know Odisha is very good team. We did our homework and we know Odisha is one of the best teams in India. They play very good football, so we our getting our boys ready. We are looking forward to it because it will be a very good game.”
But he also added, “They have strengths but they have their weaknesses. They are vulnerable. We know that they are vulnerable and we will try to expose them in that area.”
Indian Players on the score sheet
Three Indian players have scored in the Kalinga Super Cup Group stage, and when the coach was asked about the same, Kratky replied, “I am very happy. Very happy so far about everyone in the team. It was and is an opportunity for them to play, and they are working hard to get rewarded. So it’s always pleasing to see when the boys get rewarded for the right things and work hard.”
Expectation of Odisha
Kratky expressed his expectations of this Odisha team and highlighted, “We are expecting very hard game. Odisha is a quality team. We have to respect that. We are doing our preparations the best we can, getting boys ready. We lost one day of preparation as well, but again looking forward to it. It’s a challenge.”
Plan for Ahmed Jahouh
Ahmed Jahouh, Mumbai City FC’s former player, have been quite a vital force for Odisha. Petr Kratky shed light on his plans to minimise his abilities and said, “We stick to the way on how we want to play. We just try to do the best of our abilities. That’s basically our plan.”
