Which Indian players had best and worst pass accuracy against Uzbekistan in AFC Asian Cup 2023?

A few Indian players gelled with their passing in the Uzbekistan game.
After a disappointing defeat in their 2023 AFC Asian Cup opener against Australia, India succumbed to another defeat against a formidable Uzbekistan side. The Blue Tigers were completely outplayed by the White Wolves.
Uzbekistan took an early lead after Abbosbek Fayzullaev’s header found the back of the net. Forward Igor Sergeev scored the second goal in the 18th minute and Sherzod Nasrullaev wrapped up the game with a third at the end of the first half.
India were torn to shreds by Uzbekistan and there was no way they could’ve recovered from the damage. On that note, let us take a look at the the passing statistics of the Indian players in the match.
Top five players in terms of passing accuracy
5. Akash Mishra – 90%
Akash Mishra ranks fifth in the list. The left-back had a good game as he completed the majority of his passes. Mishra attempted 39 passes and completed 25 out of those, while maintaining an accuracy of 90%.
4. Apuia – 90%
Apuia dropped another good performance in the middle of the park for the Blue Tigers. The midfielder attempted 67 passes and completed 60 out of them. He too, recorded a passing accuracy of 90%.
3. Rahul Bheke – 91%
Rahul Bheke did not have a very good game, but he still managed to complete a lot of his passes. The defender maintained a passing accuracy of 91%, as he completed 75 out of 82 attempted passes.
2. Suresh Singh – 92%
Suresh Singh also put in a very hard-working shift in the middle. The Bengaluru FC midfielder passed the ball around very well and out of 49 attempted passes he completed 44, and enjoyed a passing precision of 92%.
1. Sandesh Jhingan – 92%
Sandesh Jhingan ranks at the first position for completing the most number of passes. Jhingan nailed 80 out 87 attempted passes. Additionally, he maintained a passing accuracy of 92%.
Top five players with worst passing accuracy
5. Nikhil Poojary – 73%
Nikhil Poojary did not have an ideal game and did not complete a lot of his passes. Poojary completed only 43 out of his 59 attempted passes while maintaining an accuracy of just 73%.
4. Naorem Mahesh Singh – 72%
Mahesh also did not have an ideal outing for India. He only managed to complete 18 of the 25 passes that he tried to execute. His passing accuracy was a mere 72%.
3. Manvir Singh – 67%
Manvir looked clueless yet again on the right wing. The forward attempted nine passes and completed just six, while maintaining an accuracy of 67%.
2. Sunil Chhetri 60%
Skipper Sunil Chhetri also did not have an ideal game. With a 60% accuracy rate, Chhetri tried 15 passes and completed only nine of them.
1. Rahul KP – 44%
Rahul KP came on in the second half and did not make much of an impact. The forward had nine pass attempts and just four completions, with a 44% accuracy rate.
