Igor Stimac, Blue Tigers' coaching staff meets Indian ambassador in Qatar

In the meeting, India’s progress in football was dicussed.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) took to their official Twitter account to tweet several photographs featuring Indian Ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Vipul, alongside the head coach of the Indian football team, Igor Stimac, fitness coach Luka Radman, and goalkeeping coach Frano Srdarev.
The coaches of Indian football team who are presently in Doha, Qatar for the AFC Asian Cup 2023, met Mr. Vipul over there. The tweet also highlighted the conversation between the coach and the Ambassador regarding the country’s advancements in football.
The tweet mentioned, “#BlueTigers head coach @stimac_igor, fitness coach Luka Radman, and goalkeeping coach Frano Srdarev called upon the Indian Ambassador to Qatar, His Excellency Mr. Vipul today, and held discussions about the country’s progress in the beautiful game.”
Who is Mr. Vipul?
Mr. Vipul is an officer of the 1998 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), assumed the role of the Indian Ambassador to Qatar in August 2023. Prior to this, he held the position of Joint Secretary in the Gulf division at the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi.
India in AFC Asian Cup 2023
India suffered a defeat in their inaugural match against Australia, with a score of 2-0 on January 13th, resulting in their current placement in fourth position within their group. Their upcoming fixtures are scheduled against Uzbekistan and Syria on January 18th and 23rd respectively.
India must secure a victory in the next two matches in order to qualify for the knockout stage. The team is led by the charismatic Sunil Chhetri, under the guidance of head coach Igor Stimac.
