Asrar Rehbar scored a hattrick for the southerners.
FC Bengaluru United took home three points after an easy, eye-appealing 6-0 win against Mumbai City FC (R). The previous game, Bengaluru United played against FC Kerala and ended in a 1-1 tie.
The game kicked off with Bengaluru United locking its antlers with Mumbai City FC (R). It was very evident that United had no plans of taking this game easy. The home team was very adamant on keeping possession of the ball. This sort of play made them score their first goal right at the 17th minute of the game.

This caused the referee to grant a penalty to FC Bengaluru United. The whistle blew, Asrar volleyed the ball into the goal the opposition's goalkeeper completely missing it and the United took first blood.
With this goal, the team's motivation was at a high. They rightly converted this feeling into some extraordinary opportunities and chances but were unlucky in converting any of them into goals.
By the 39th minute it was clear FCBU was breathing down MCFC's neck.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]The game got even better in the 43rd minute as Phrangkie magically connected a pass from Kiran. His touch leaked of such finesse that he was able to get past MCFC's entire defence in just one sequence. He took advantage of this and ran towards the goal, getting past the keeper himself and shot the ball towards an unguarded goalpost. This made the score 2-0 as both the teams went in for half time. As the second half began, FCBU were undeterred from what they have accomplished and seemed to have wanted more. They fought much harder than the first 45 minutes and this seemed to bear fruit for the team.
The 68th minute saw another goal, this time by FCBU's defence, Hardik Bhatt. He made it 3-0 as he took advantage of an opportunity that presented itself to him from outside the box. He volleyed this unstoppable ball in from the right wing and went right past the defence and the goalkeeper into the back of the net.

FC Bengaluru United made a quick substitution in the 84th minute against Mumbai City as Jotin came on for Phrangkie. There was no doubt Phrangkie had played one of his best games with the United team.
Minute after minute FCBU were relentless in creating opportunities and finally, with just three minutes to go, Asrar scores, making it 4-0. A well timed pass from jotin connected beautifully by Asrar, once again, got past most of MCFC's defence. The Bengaluru United striker only had the Mumbai City keeper to deal with. Asrar got past him skillfully, creating an opportunity and converted it into a goal.

Even in the last minute, FCBU didn't look like they were ready to go slow. A mistake by MCFC's goalkeeper let Asrar come in possession of the ball. He took advantage and ended the game with an easy-looking goal, making it a hat-trick for him. The final score was 6-0.
This was one of the easier games FCBU played this entire season and because of this Bengaluru United took home another 3 points placing FCBU 1st in Group C.
