The draw saw the Mariners qualify for the knockout round of the AFC Cup.
Antonio Lopez Habas' ATK Mohun Bagan drew 1-1 against Bashundhara Kings in their final AFC Cup group stage game to move to the inter-zone playoff semi-finals. Despite quite a poor display in the first half, the Mariners scraped through to make it to the next stage; thanks to a David Williams goal in the 62nd minute.
Both sides came into the match unbeaten in their group campaign, with ATK Mohun Bagan overcoming Maziya S&RC 3-1, while Bashundara Kings drew 0-0 against Bengaluru FC in their respective second fixtures.
The Bangladeshi side did have a better start, at least in the first 20-30 minutes. But, a red card for Sushanto Tripura on the brink of half-time gave Habas' side a man advantage. From there, ATK Mohun Bagan were able to improvise on some of their mistakes and punish Bashundhara Kings. In other words, deliver a performance good enough to see a draw, which was what the Mariners needed at the end of the day.
Here is a look at how the ATK Mohun Bagan players performed against Bashundhara Kings.

Amrinder Singh (GK): 6.0
Amrinder Singh was largely untroubled except for a few touches and a push from set-pieces in the first half, along with a ball hit straight at him in the 82nd minute.
Ashutosh Mehta: 5.0
The 30-year-old had a decent impact on the team. Despite a few errors, a few long balls such as the one on the half hour mark to Liston Colaco saw an overall average performance by the new summer signing with four duels won; same as everyone in the backline.
Carl McHugh: 6.5
The Irish center-back was good defensively and played brilliant balls from the back to both David Williams and Roy Krishna. Overall, a solid defensive and in a few instances, attacking performance from the 28-year-old.
Pritam Kotal: 5.0
The ace Indian defender had a pretty reasonable performance today. He picked up a yellow card in the 12th minute and one of his only standout plays was a crucial free-kick clearance in the first half.
Subhasish Bose: 5.5
The 26-year-old left-back once again had a pretty stable performance throughout. He won an aerial duel at the end of the first half against the rival team's Sushanto Tripura; leading to the game's only red card.
Liston Colaco: 6.5
The Goan attacker missed a sitter in the 17th minute and had a few chances in the first half. However, a resilient performance from the team in the second half gave him an assist for the equalizer scored by Williams. He also ended the match on a high note, with four completed dribbles and five created chances; the most in the game.
Lenny Rodrigues: 5.0
The 34-year-old Goan was probably the weakest player for the Mariners today. His general poor defensive performance, along with a half-hearted attempt alongside David Williams led to Bashundara Kings' goal early on.
Deepak Tangri: 5.5
The midfielder had a few heavy defensive touches and displayed an aggressive playing style, but wasn’t too effective overall. He was also shown a yellow card in the 49th minute for a mistimed sliding tackle.

Manvir Singh: 7.0
The right-footed winger got a kick to the head within the first 10 minutes. However, he too was resilient and made brilliant run-ins on the flank. Manvir was one of the most agile players on the pitch with a pass success rate of 91% and 52 touches overall. He made several short fizzles past Bashundhara Kings' players throughout the 90 minutes along with his usual deliveries; both short passes and long balls towards the box to the frontline duo of David Williams and Roy Krishna.
Roy Krishna: 7.0
The Fijian star was yet again his usual self. He made a brilliant pass was unfortunately missed by Liston Colaco. Although it did look like he was stretchered off after a reckless challenge in the first half, he fortunately got back on his feet. He also made a brilliant bicycle attempt from Manvir’s pass crossed by Liston.

David Williams: 7.5
The Australian was brilliant with his attacking performance. He scored his team's only goal of the day after a brilliant assist from Liston Colaco. However, his poor attempt defensively led to the Mariners conceding their first goal.
Regardless, his synergy along with Roy Krishna was unsurprisingly visible once again. The duo combined had seven shots and created several chances upon receiving balls from the likes of Manvir Singh and Carl McHugh.
Substitutes
Bidyananda Singh: N/A
Came on as a tactical substitution to replace David Williams in the 92nd minute.
SK Sahil: N/A
Yet another tactical substitution in place of Deepak Tangri in the 94th minute.
