ATK Mohun Bagan set to continue closed door practice sessions in Goa
The fence of the Benaulim ground have been covered to restrict visibility of the team's training and set-piece strategies.
ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Antonio Lopez Habas is set to continue with his closed door training sessions in Goa, where the squad is currently making their preparations ahead of the Indian Super League season.
The ATK Mohun Bagan squad is currently training at the Benaulim Ground in Goa, which is located just besides the main road . As requested by Habas the fence of the ground have been covered to restrict visibility of the training. The decision was taken by the Spaniard to protect the team's training and set piece strategies - which has started from this week.
In spite of the hot humid Goan climate the defending ISL champions are undergoing two sessions a day. The Green and Maroon think tank are currently focused on strength and conditioning of the players and are expected to begin their single core practice sessions from this weekend. Apart from Roy Krishna and Bradden Inman, all other ATK Mohun Bagan players have already started training under Habas and the former are scheduled to join the pitch on Saturday after completion of their compulsory quarantine.
ATK Mohun Bagan is set to become the first team to start their training with full squad ahead of the upcoming season and Habas seemed happy with the fact as he said, "Till now we have been able to aptly follow our plan and am quite happy to start the training with the whole squad. We have been planning since months to cope up with this different situation and I am happy that the whole team and the management has been able to overcome the odds."
"It is just the initial step that we have fetched. We have a long plan this season and now on the focus will be only on that sole goal," he added.
