ATK Mohun Bagan officially announced the signing of Glan Martins on Thursday

Martins has made 14 appearances in the I-League last season and despite being unable to score or assist a goal, he’s shown bright signs with his technical ability. He allegedly also went through trials for a few lower-division clubs in the United States but will venture into a new journey with ATK next season.

The Kolkata giants have already brought out the big guns in the transfer window, signing Manvir Singh, Subasish Bose and Sandesh Jhingan for the next season. It will be interesting to see how Antonio Habas picks his starting XI next season with a considerably strong squad of players available at his dispense.

For Martins, the competition to be in the starting XI will be relentless. Pronay Halder, Michael Regin, Sk Sahil and several others will vie for the spot with the Goan. But Glan Martins has proven himself a tenacious, skillful midfielder who won the Man of the Match against East Bengal earlier last season and will work his socks off to make his ISL debut in the upcoming.
