Atletico de Kolkata return after pre-season training in Spain

After a month long pre-season training at Madrid, Atletico de Kolkata returned back to Kolkata on Thursday morning. Superstars like Helder Postiga, Iain Hume, Sameehg Doutie and the other Indian stars were all overwhelmed with the grand reception they received at the airport. The champions of the maiden season of the Indian Super League were training at the Atletico Madrid training ground, which is the official training complex for of last year’s UEFA Champions League finalists.. The Kolkata franchise played a single pre-season game which they lost 4-3 against a local club in Spain. The team had al photo session on arival at the team hotel and all the players were in a very merry and happy mood. Indian players like Bidyananda Singh, Prabir Das, who had their first pre-season experiences with Atletico de Kolkata, seemed confident. The Indian players like Arnab Mondal, Lalrindika Ralte, Bikash Jairu ,Abinas Ruidas and Robert who could not join the pre-season training owing to the Calcutta Football League games also joined the team on Thursday. Though the team did not have training yesterday the players who had just joined the side had a slight warm up session and gym session in the afternoon at the Bidhannagar Sports Complex. The team will start their full training from today onwards at the same venue under the watchful eyes of manager Jose Molina.Report by Khel Now Correspondent Rony.
