It was a decent outing for several of the Blues' domestic players.

Indian Super League champions Bengaluru FC took one step in the right direction on the way to this season’s final, after beating ATK by a 1-0 scoreline. Mid-season signing Deshorn Brown scored the game’s only goal for the Blues in the first-half.

Despite some strong play from the away side over the course of the second period, a strong Blues backline ensures to hold onto the slender one goal lead. Nishu Kumar, unfortunately, picked up a red card in the final knockings of the tie.

Here Are The Player Ratings:

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu - 6.5

The Bengaluru custodian made a couple of stellar stops to keep the rather clinical ATK attackers at bay for the entire night. Cleared the ball effectively whenever required.

Rahul Bheke - 7

The versatile defender started the game at right-back, but was switched over the centre-half’s role at half-time. Made some good covering runs and didn’t allow any space in behind the back-line.

Nishu Kumar - 7

Despite reports linking him with a move away from the Kanteerava, the speedster put in an excellent display down the flank, both as part of the back four and a back three. Made multiple sharp forward runs.

Suresh Singh - 8

Controlled the tempo of the game with his passing and movement in the middle of the park. Was forced to go wider than usual as the Bengaluru starting XI had an apparent lack of width and defended superbly too.

Harmanjot Khabra - 8

The versatile midfielder put in an absolute no-nonsense display in the middle of the park. Linked up well with the rest of the BFC players and never really looked like getting caught.

Sunil Chhetri - 6.5

Made some good early runs behind the defenders in the first-half, but his influence on the tie gradually fizzled out. The Indian skipper was far from his usual high standards and even missed a sitter.

ATK

Arindam Bhattacharya - 6.5

The ATK shot-stopper should’ve got a stronger hand on the ball that led to Deshorn Brown’s goal. Made a couple of important saves to limit the home side’s scoreline as well.

Pritam Kotal - 6.5

The centre-half shrewdly won a couple of fouls over the ninety minutes, which didn’t go down well with the home support. Positioned himself well in his own half as the Blues pressed the ball.

Sumit Rathi - 6.5

Like his centre-half partner, was solid for most of the night, but it was down his end that the Bengaluru goal on the night came.

Prabir Das - 6.5

Prabir held his ground well against Suresh Singh in the make-shift wide role. Tried to get forward whenever opportunity presented itself and tracked his man back too.

Michael Regin - 6

Tried to be the man that ran the show in midfield for ATK, but was completely outclassed by the sheer quality that the Bengaluru midfielders possessed on the night.

Michael Soosairaj - 6

The usually dangerous speedster was kept rather quiet by the Bengaluru defenders for most of the first-half, but he showed a slight improvement in the second period of the tie.
