The England international scored his 15th goal in the Bundesliga

Jadon Sancho made Bundesliga history as Borussia Dortmund taunt the newly promoted Cologne-based team FC Koln 3-1 where the Englishman inspired the Dortmund side with a goal and an assist.

Achim Beierlorzer’s side drew the first blood when Dominick Drexler’s header gave the home side the lead in the first half for the first time at home after returning to Bundesliga following last season’s promotion.

The Manchester City academy graduate, who also scored against Augsburg last week, gave the all-important breakthrough to the Lucien Favre side in the 70th minute collecting a short corner from Thorgan Hazard.

After that, there was no looking back for the young Dortmund side. Substitute Achraf Hakimi scored the second goal in the 86th minute while former Barcelona striker slotted the third goal in the injury time. With this win, last season’s runners up have collected six points from the two games and are currently leading the Bundesliga table.

With a goal against FC Koln, Jadon Sancho becomes the youngest player in Bundesliga to score 15 goals. A feat which was previously held by former Borussia Monchengladbach and Stuttgart forward Horst Koppel.

Lucien Favre the Borussia Dortmund tactician gave his thoughts about the game by saying, “We were too slow in the first half,” referring to the continuous pressing of the FC Koln side.

He went on to add, “It was a tough game, exactly as we had expected. But, with the Introduction of Achraf Hakimi and  Julian Brandt (in 68th minute), our game changed."

“We were very satisfied to win because it was a hard match,” he further quipped.
