The Spanish tactician was amazed by the performance given by his young side.

Bengaluru FC and ATK fought end-to-end in a thriller that ended 2-2 and put an end to their league campaign, as both sides gear up for the playoffs. ATK's late equaliser spoiled the Blues' hopes of ending the season with a victory at home. Carles Cuadrat fielded a side that had several players starting for the first time this season. The young Blues got off to a flying start, as they took a two-goal lead in the first half against a relatively stronger ATK side. However, Antonio Habas' side pulled it back in the second half, as both of his substitutes featured on the scoresheet and earned the visitors a point. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Carles Cuadrat shared his thoughts on the game and had a lot of encouraging words for the youngsters that featured in the lineup. “It’s clear that the second goal was a very clear mistake of concentration. They are young, what can I ask them?" "They are players with little experience only. They are giving their best and have been doing a wonderful job. It has been an amazing game for the youngsters. They had the opportunity to play in the Indian Super League and I think that they really made an impact. The youngsters understood all the concepts that we were managing during the game. We got the 2-0 lead, that for me was kind of a surprise. Here in Bengaluru, we are working the first-team. But, also we are doing a lot of things with the kids. We are trying to develop them as players and you can see that on the pitch.” [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] The coach was asked if this one point alone made him the happiest out of all the 30 points the Blues have managed this season. “Maybe, because we had this experience last season when we went to Jamshedpur and they scored five goals against us. They really understood what they had to do and they worked for the point. I'm okay with a point. We were playing against players like (David) Williams, (Roy) Krishna, Edu Garcia, top professionals with lot of experience. So, I’m impressed, they did very well." Carles Cuadrat was quizzed if the impact of the youngsters could've been felt if they had been given a chance earlier in the season. “Football is a complicated business, it’s not so easy to take decisions. We became champions because of the work of Sunil (Chhetri) and Udanta (Singh) in defence. The help that they were doing to us, it was essential. Leon gives something, he has already got two assists in very few games. But, he’s still in a phase to learn about how to take better decisions and about how to defend, things that only you can learn playing in top competition." "In those things, Sunil and Udanta are very good, they know the game. Ashique (Kuruniyan) as well, he isn’t getting so many goals and assists, but in defence he’s giving us a lot," added Carles Cuadrat. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Asked about another disappointing finish, he replied, “Do you think I’m worried? If you said before the game that these players are going to do that kind of performance… it’s football. It’s very difficult for a young boy who has been playing games one month ago, that they were winning 8-0, 6-1 and now we put them here. A lot of responsibility and they managed very well.” Further, Carles Cuadrat went on to speak about Delgado who scored the opening goal for the team. “It was a message that we gave to the players. That, Dimas is always going to support them. He has been managing the game of the team and as a young player it is a solution always to give the ball to Dimas. We know his quality. It was a great goal, wonderful goal and one more set-piece."
