Cristiano Ronaldo hits back at media, calls them 'liars'

The Portuguese star is reported to be looking for a move away from Old Trafford.
Cristiano Ronaldo made a sensational return to Manchester United last summer. Just 10 months later, Ronaldo is keen to force his way out of Manchester in search of Champions League football.
Ronaldo recorded 18 goals in the Premier League last season. But the Red Devils could only manage a 6th-place finish in the league and ended the season trophyless. The Portuguese star missed the pre-season tour due to a reported family issue. Erik ten Hag's side did quite well in the pre-season tour and won 3 games and drew 1.
The new manager has been very open that he wants to work with Cristiano Ronaldo and that the striker is not for sale. The club have also maintained their stance that the striker is not for sale. In this time Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has offered his client to every top club in the top leagues. Most of the clubs can't afford the Portuguese star's wages. While the rest have passed up the chance to sign him.
The forward has also been linked to Atletico Madrid in the past couple of days, and Italian side Napoli have also shown interest. But the striker returned to training on Tuesday accompanied by his super agent Jorge Mendes, Sir Alex Ferguson was also pictured arriving at the Manchester United training complex Carrington.
But sources from the club later indicated that the legendary manager was there was a scheduled board meeting. Cristiano Ronaldo recent slammed the media by replying to an Instagram post saying the forward was adamant about leaving Manchester. The forward replied: "Impossible not to talk about me one day. Otherwise the press makes no money. You know that if you don't lie young can't get people's attention. Keep going that one day you got something right."
The forward's future at Old Trafford still lies in the air and anything can happen from now till the end of the transfer window.
