FCBG need a win to kickstart their campaign….
FC Bardez face Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim in the U-20 TACA Goa League at Duler Stadium tomorrow. FC Bardez are in 7th in the league with 2 points from 3 matches, they lost against Churchill Brothers in the first match, and drew the other 2 matches against Salgaocar FC and Dempo SC, While SCC Cavelossim are unbeaten in the league, winning their last three matches against Vasco SC, Clube Sao Miguel de Taleigao and Corps of Signals. They will be looking to keep their winning momentum going. Bardez have a big task ahead of them. FC Bardez are playing with 8 Goa Pro League players in the squad but still they have failed to overcome their opponents in the last few matches even after dominating possessions and having the most number of chances. Bardez Coach Climax Lawrence will have the full squad at his disposal and will be ready to take on the challenge which lies ahead tomorrow. There might be only few changes in the squad as Saviour Gama is back from injury and might replace Ashley, while the Suresh Lamani will replace Santosh Pujar in between the sticks, who ais serving a suspension because of two yellow cards in the previous three matches, The possible line up for FC Bardez for the upcoming match: - Pujar, Sarieno, Cavin, Anil, Viraj, Jesmon, Saviour, Kiritikesh, Manjunath, Latesh, Ronil. Bardez defenders Anil Chawan and Viraj will have to keep their eyes wide open for Cavelossim striker Aaren Dsilva who is the top scorer in the league bagging 5 goals. While Saviour Gama can be a troublemaker for Cavelossim with his ability to keep his mind cool and make runs on goal out of the blue to surprise his opponents. He made his professional league debut for FC Bardez against the same opponents in their Goa Pro League encounter. FC Bardez tactician Climax Lawrence said, “The team is improving day by day. The boys are working hard. They are pushing themselves to the limits and we have been focusing more of attacking. We dominated in the last match against Dempo SC, but we lacked in finishing. So we are working on it and I expect us to score goals tomorrow.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Team Captain Latesh have similar thoughts in his mind and said “There has been a lot of improvement in the squad, the coach has shown us a lot of new tactics, but we are mostly focusing on attacking, and we have working on a lot of set pieces, and he has shows us how to convert them into goals, as you know we are lacking on finishing, but the team is working on it and we will show our outcome when we face Cavelossim on Monday.”Latest News
