The outbreak has brought the football season in Europe to a halt.
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, FIFA has released an instructional video where imminent football personalities have shared their thoughts on how to take precautions in this bizarre situation.
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is currently IFA’s chief of global football development, has instructed people to follow five disciplines, while former Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino also reiterated the same alongside Manchester United Women’s head coach Casey Stoney, Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse, current Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho and ex-USA Women’s head coach Jill Ellis.
At the end of the video FIFA president Gianni Infantino signs off with a motivating line, “Together, we will win this difficult match.”
Arsene Wenger: “We all know the situation with the coronavirus is a very serious one and we need to put health first. These are the five key tactics to tacking the coronavirus and I urge you all to follow with discipline at all times these five key tactics.”
Mauricio Pochettino: “It starts with your hands. Please wash your hands frequently, if possible, with an alcohol-based hand solution.”
Casey Stoney: “With your elbows bent, please cover your nose and mouth if you sneeze or cough. If using tissues, dispose of them immediately.”
Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse: “For your face, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. This can prevent the virus from entering the body.”
Jose Mourinho: “In terms of social interaction, take a step back. Stay one-metre distance minimum from everyone that coughs or sneezes.”
Ex-USA head coach Jill Ellis: “If you feel unwell, stay home. In some countries, isolation might be advisable for healthy persons too. Please follow all instructions from your local health authority.
Gianno Infantino: “So please keep yourselves informed at all times. Follow these recommendations and support the WHO in their efforts at tackling the coronavirus. Together we will win this difficult match.”

Infantino has called upon the football community in order to protect everyone in the sport from this pandemic. The FIFA president have sent letters to every confederation and league around the world spreading the message of standing together against the coronavirus.
The letter reads:-
“We must do everything in our power to protect fans, players, coaches, and everyone else involved in our beautiful game.
“Most importantly, the football authorities must take all necessary measures to prevent the virus spreading to the wider community.”
“The world football community has shown a sense of solidarity and unity in the face of this threat,” wrote Infantino. “And we should continue to do the same when thinking about how we will address the consequences we will have to face for the future of our game, once this serious risk to human health is behind us.
“It goes without saying that we all have to take this matter very seriously while, at the same time, remaining calm and assured in both our response and our decision making.
“FIFA will keep in regular contact with all relevant stakeholders during this difficult period and look to find in due course solutions in a spirit of cooperation, taking into account the interests of football at all levels.
“Health first and sporting solidarity should be the key principles guiding decision-making at this important moment in time and I am sure that the whole football community will live up to the great values of our sport.”
“Let’s also bear in mind that sport in general and football, in particular, can – and I believe will – play a big part in helping our world recover once we have, hopefully, sooner rather than later, returned to normality,” he continued.
“Challenging circumstances offer the opportunity for people to come together, show what they can do in a collective spirit, and emerge stronger and better prepared for the future. We know that this is one of those moments.”
The World Health Organization (WHO) has joined hands with FIFA and have launched a new initiative of providing them with practical recommendations and methods to tackle the spread of this virus. Gianni Infantino also feels that football can play a vital role in curbing the spread of this pandemic.
