India played out a goalless draw against the Blue Wave.

India put up another poor performance, as they failed to score a single goal and shared points with Kuwait despite the backing of 59,000 passionate fans. It has become somewhat of a trend for the national team now, to constantly disappoint the fans.

Vague performances that show no signs of quality whatsoever are something that pretty much seems to fit Igor Stimac’s style of play, as the Croatian once again failed to get India the win.

With five points on the board, India now stare down a road that leads to Qatar, where they take on Asia’s finest team, to try and make it to the next round of the qualifiers. To add to their woes, the Blues will be playing without their talisman who has led them for so long – Sunil Chhetri.

Despite the result, the game will always remain special for the Blue Tigers, as they bid adieu to their biggest legend.

Khel Now would like to take this moment to thank Sunil Chhetri for his unparalleled contribution to Indian football.

With that said, let us take a look at the top statistics from the game:

Most successful dribbles: Nikhil Poojary (3), Lallianzuala Chhangte (2)

Yellow cards: Edmund Lalrindika, Hasan Al Enezi, Sultan Al Enezi

Most shots attempted: Anwar Ali (3), Liston Colaco (3), Faisal Zayed Al Harbi (3)

Saves by goalkeepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (4), Abdul Ghafoor (4)

Most chances created: Mohammad Dhaman (4)

Top three players: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Rashed Al Dousari, Mohammad Dhaman
