The Premier League outfit is in advanced talks with Serie A side Sassuolo to secure the services of the 23-year-old. A bid in the region of €50m could be enough to secure the Italian. French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain were also chasing the striker but are not willing to pay the asking price.

As the leading club in pursuit of Gianluca Scamacca, West Ham stand to benefit from the move. The club needs to recruit more players to build on the 2021-22 season performance, as the 2022-23 season approaches.

The 23-year-old is a good finisher and will be hungry to score goals. He is young and ambitious, characteristics that align with West Ham United’s squad. Scamacca’s arrival could lead to more goals for David Moyes’ team and solve a major issue in the attacking department.
