Five Ligue 1 players who can secure pre-agreement moves in January

There are some notable players who are available on a free pre-agreement contract.
French Ligue 1 is a bedrock of hidden talents and also some experienced players out there. The league has a host of talented players that are heading towards the final six months of their contracts, which enables them to negotiate with other clubs.
They can sign a pre-agreement with any club of their choice and choose to play for them from next season onwards if their current employers do not offer an extension. Signing players on a free transfer using a pre-agreement is a smart way of doing business for all the parties involved.
Here are the five players from Ligue 1, that can secure pre-agreement moves in January transfer window:
Jordan Amavi
Jordan Amavi is in the last six months of his contract with Olympique de Marseille and is on the cards for a move away from the club. The full-back has had an injury laden season and has struggled to find playing time due to fitness issues. The Frenchman was signed permanently by his current employers in 2018 from Aston Villa after a brief loan spell in 2017/18 season.
However, with the duration of the contract coming to an end, it looks like the player will be a free agent by the end of the season. A few clubs in England and France are monitoring the player and will attempt to secure him on a pre-agreement contract.
Florian Thauvin

Florian Thauvin is also likely to exit from Marseille. The Frenchman is in the last six months of his contract. Talks of him leaving the club have been doing the rounds for a while now. The 27-year-old has had an impressive outing this season, having scored six and assisted seven goals in 18 league games.
The 27-year-old has a market value in the region of €32.00m. Securing him on a free transfer would be a masterful move. AC Milan and AS Roma have been linked with the player.
Julian Draxler
Julain Draxler’s time at Paris Saint-Germain seems to be coming to an end. The German midfielder has seen less game time since the arrival of Ander Herrera. He will be a free agent in the summer and has several clubs lined up, looking to sign him on a pre-agreement basis.
Arsenal is the frontrunners to land the player, given they desperately need creativity in the middle. The Gunners are reportedly trying to negotiate a pre-agreement, which will serve them well financially.
Angel Di Maria

Angel Di Maria’s long stay in Ligue 1 is coming to a conclusion. The attacker has been overshadowed by the importance of his teammates Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. Both of them are on the priority list in terms of contract extensions. Whether Di Maria stays or not will depend on the outcome of the contract renewals and the whims of new gaffer, Mauricio Pochhetino.
It has been reported that Juventus FC are going to sign the Argentine. Apparently, Cristiano Ronaldo has pushed the club to sign the winger and would like to reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate.

Memphis Depay
Memphis Depay has entered the final six months in his contract with Olympique Lyonnais and talks of a contract renewal have stalled. The Dutch international has his heart set for a move to FC Barcelona, where he will reunite with Ronald Koeman.
The tactician favors the attacker and needs the firepower to lead a stagnant Barca frontline. Depay was available in the January transfer window for merely €8.00m, but he is most likely to sign a pre-agreement with the La Liga giants.
