Fantasy Premier League: Best XI for Gameweek 31
FPL managers pull up their socks for a thrilling run of games as they look to better their peers.
Fantasy Premier League: Liverpool’s minor blip in the Merseyside derby would be seen as an optimistic sign by Pep Guardiola’s men and they will be aiming to ride their thumping win against Arsenal to put more pressure on the league leaders. Manchester United and Tottenham played out an evenly-contested two-goal stalemate while Chelsea relied on Cesar Azpilicueta’s heroics as they rallied to come back from a one-goal deficit against Aston Villa.
Arsenal’s season went from bad to worse as they were on the wrong end of a comeback as Brighton managed to gain three points against the Gunners in their bid for survival.
Week 31 promises to hold all the crucial answers for the season. Liverpool will take on Crystal Palace without the Kop helping them out while Manchester City will relish a stiff challenge from Frank Lampard’s young Chelsea side. Manchester United are at Old Trafford to face Sheffield United while Tottenham will be awaiting West Ham at their turf. Arsenal will be hoping to dent Southampton’s resurgence and bring their campaign back on track as they travel to St. Mary’s.
Gameweek 31 Transfers
A more attacking option is brought in midfield as Adama Traore is put in for Joao Moutinho. Tammy Abraham will likely warm the bench as Giroud is currently doing well as a striker for Chelsea and he is duly replaced by Crystal Palace forward-cum-winger Jordan Ayew.
Gameweek 31 Line-up
The team is sticking with a 4-3-3. Rui Patricio maintains his spot in front of goal and is assisted by four defenders, James Tarkowski, Harry Maguire, Andrew Robertson and Caglar Soyuncu all have home matches and start.
John Lundstram who faces Manchester United in a tough away clash moves to the bench. Sadio Mane and Kevin de Bruyne populate the midfield alongside the pacy Adama Traore. Captain Jamie Vardy who is at home against Brighton leads the front three with support from vice-captain Danny Ings and Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew. Midfielders Cantwell and Ayoze Perez join goalkeeper Matt Ryan on the bench.
Tips and Tricks
- Captain – Wolves forward Raul Jimenez and Southampton forward Danny Ings should serve as the two best choices for captain this week. Both of the players are riding a rich vein of form and the lockdown seemingly has had little or no effect on their brilliant capabilities.
- Additions – Bruno Fernandes can flourish in his potential role beside Paul Pogba and the Portuguese midfielder can be a wonderful addition for the team. A cheaper option would be Luka Milivojevic who is tasked with set-piece duty for Crystal Palace. The midfielder comes in cheap and can deliver the odd goal.
- With Leno’s injury, it is wise to remove all Arsenal defenders from the squad. The German was a big factor in their repetitive defensive bids and his absence can adversely affect the Gunner’s chance to stop goals.
