This particular gameweek will continue over the weekend with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton playing it out on Monday night.

Fantasy Premier League: Manchester City gave a sign of warning to the Premier League champions for their title defence next season as Pep Guardiola’s men took care of the Reds with a huge scoreline of 4-0. Manchester United won their tie against Brighton, thanks to a valiant performance by Bruno Fenrandes while Arsenal saw off bottom-placed Norwich with a scoreline of 4-0.

Tottenham Hotspur stumbled in their bid for Europe as Sheffield United beat them comfortably for their first win since lockdown while Chelsea gave away an opportunity to move into third and maintain daylight with fifth-placed Manchester United as the Blues were beaten by West Ham United.

Gameweek 32+ Review – 74 points

A good Gameweek for the team with evenly spread returns. Captain Danny Ings was the star as he came away 26 points. Kevin De Bruyne had 14 points while James Ward-Prowse had nine points. Harry Maguire and Rui Patricio had six points each while James Tarkowski had a supportive five. Jordan Ayew, Sadio Mane and Jamie Vardy had only two points each while Adama Traore and Caglar Soyuncu had a point each.

The average for the gameweek was 50 points.

Gameweek 33+ Transfers

With the league slowly reaching curtains, it has been paramount to occupy the team with regular starters. Ayoze Perez is transferred out and in his stead, Allan Saint-Maximin is brought in. The winger has been a big influence behind the resurgence of Steve Bruce’s Newcastle side and his remaining fixtures are easier.

Gameweek 33+ Line-up

The team is opting for a 3-5-2. Matt Ryan comes into the starting lineup at the expense of Arsenal facing Rui Patricio. The three starting defenders are Caglar Soyuncu, James Tarkowski and Harry Maguire. Andrew Robertson and injured John Lundstram are on the bench this week.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 33+ Lineup

Sadio Mane and Kevin de Bruyne populate the midfield alongside the pacy Adama Traore and the versatile James Ward-Prowse. They are also joined by Newcatle star Allan Saint-Maximin who had three assists last week. Danny Ings and Jamie Vardy are the starting strikers with Jordan Ayew moving to the bench. Jamie Vardy is the captain for the week while Harry Maguire is the vice-captain for this Fantasy Premier League gameweek.

Tips and Tricks

  1. Team choices – Liverpool will more likely begin to give their bench players opportunities and therefore it would be an apt time to load up on the cheaper bench options from Anfield.
  2. Captain – Leicester, although currently in a slump has been bolstered by the return of James Maddison. Their strong second half showing against Everton is a prime example of their potential and Jamie Vardy is more likely to benefit from the return of the talismanic playmaker. Vardy would be an apt choice for captain.
  3. Defense – Manchester United have been steadfast and unrelenting in defense conceding only two goals in their four games after lockdown.  Aaron Wan-Bissaka could also get an assist.

Top four battle is heating up. Manchester United are at home to AFC Bournemouth while Chelsea face relegation-threatened Watford at Stanford Bridge. Arsenal will aim to better their spot and gain ground as they go to Molineux to face the dangerous Wolves. Manchester City are away from home to Southampton while Liverpool are at home to Aston Villa. Tottenham will be hoping to put their misery behind as they host a resurgent Everton.
