Fantasy Premier League: Best XI for Gameweek 35

Fantasy Premier League: Arsenal and Leicester City played out a thrilling draw at the Emirates with Jamie Vardy’s tap-in cancelling out Aubameyang’s opener from the first half. Tottenham Hotspur too got a point after Bournemouth fought hard to force a goalless stalemate. Manchester City made short work of Newcastle United while Liverpool FC overcame Brighton with ease. Chelsea scraped through against a fighting Crystal Palace while Manchester United won their fourth consecutive game with a three-goal margin when they beat relegation-threatened Aston Villa.
Gameweek 34+ Review – 52 points
A below-average Gameweek for the team. James Ward-Prowse and Sadio Mane came away with 0 points each while Jordan Ayew and Rui Patricio had two points each. James Tarkwoski had five points while captain Adama Traore had six along with Harry Maguire and Lucas Digne. Kevin De Bruyne had seven points while the striker duo Danny Ings and Jamie Vardy got nine points each to bring the total to 52 points.
The average for the gameweek was 59 points.
Gameweek 35+ Transfers
When a new cheaper and more efficient striking option shows himself you take it. Jordan Ayew moves out to be replaced by Mason Greenwood whose current form and record belie his £4.7 m price tag. The youngster finds himself amongst goals on a regular basis and is a valuable addition as Manchester United makes a final push toward Champions League football next season.
Gameweek 35+ Line-up
The team is opting for a 4-4-2. Rui Patricio is the starting goalkeeper as Matt Ryan moves to the bench. The four starting defenders are Caglar Soyuncu, Lucas Digne, Andrew Robertson and Harry Maguire. James Tarkowski who faces Manchester City this week moves to the bench. Sadio Mane and Kevin de Bruyne populate the midfield alongside the pacy Adama Traore and the versatile Allain Saint-Maximin who is picked despite being injured, ahead of James Ward-Prowse, who faces Manchester United away from home.
Mason Greenwood and Jamie Vardy are the starting strikers with Danny Ings moving to the bench. Newbie Mason Greenwood is the captain while Sadio Mane is the vice-captain
Tips and Tricks
- Team choices – Manchester United is the best possible team to horde up on this weekend as they are at home and in fine form at the moment. Greenwood comes in cheap, with Fernandes another option which promises returns.
- Liverpool and Manchester City – Guardiola’s men have always been enthusiasts in terms of rotation of the team and Liverpool considering they have achieved what they wanted to will be looking to give their bench players chances. Mohamed Salah, however, could feature more regularly as the Egyptian is fighting for the Golden Boot this season.
Top four battle is heating up. Manchester United are at home to Southampton while Chelsea host Sheffield United. Manchester City are away from home to Brighton while Liverpool are at home to Burnley. The match of the week is at Tottenham’s new stadium as they take on their North London rivals in a bid for Europe.
