Antonio Habas: Prabir Das and David Williams played high-level football

The Spaniard was expectedly a happy man as his side booked a place in the final of the competition.

ATK came from behind to down the reigning champions, Bengaluru FC, to go through to the finals with a 3-1 win. The Blues carried a 1-0 lead to the Salt Lake Stadium but the hosts were too good for them on the night. ATK head coach Antonio Lopez Habas will lead his side to an ISL final for the second time now. The Spaniard was elated at the press conference as he addressed the journalist after an emphatic win.

Speaking about the comeback and how his team held their nerves and showed immense character, Antonio Habas said, "The team has a fantastic spirit. In the first few minutes, we conceded one. But we had to believe in ourselves. We were better in general."

Apparently, the two-time champions were level at half-time and were still down on aggregate against Bengaluru. When quizzed about the half-time talk which the 62-year old gave to the boys that buoyed the comeback, Antonio Habas revealed, "We changed our system at half-time. We started playing in a 4-3-3. I told them to believe at half-time."

It was a great win and there were some notable performances from mainly the likes of Prabir Das and David Williams who combined really well to achieve this win for ATK. And Antonio Habas duly lauded their performances.

"Prabir (Das) and (David) Williams played high-level football. When you win you have protagonists. There were two today. The first goal which Roy (Krishna) scored was also very difficult one. Prabir (Das) was excellent, " he added.

"BFC are a strong team. They have good players who can win aerial duels. But we played a good match," the Spaniard signed off.

Hereon, ATK will go head to head against Chennaiyin FC in the final of the Indian Super League this season on Saturday, at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa.
