Hopefully Saturday's match will be a turning point- Alfred Fernandes
The Churchill Brothers coach was hopeful of better results in the league, starting on Saturday...
Churchill Brothers are playing in the I-League for the first time in three years. Yet, the returning Goan club have failed to yield results on the pitch, losing all three of their games so far. Churchill have in the process socred just one goal and conceded seven.
Still, Goan coach Alfred Fernandes remains positive of his side's chances. Commenting on his side's 2-0 loss at home to East Bengal in midweek Fernandes said, "Tactically we were good in the last match but we were punished for the silly mistakes we made, especially against a big club like East Bengal. That cost us the match. Hopefully, Saturday's match can be a turning point for us to put some points on the board."
The 50-year old, citing the positives from a difficult season so far also stated, "We have been together for just a couple of days. We did not have enough time for the preparation and in spite of that we have been giving good fights for the bigger teams, so that is a positive that I can take out of the three matches."
