71': Faiaz displays sublime trickery to twist and turn his way in the box and tees a pass to Yuta whose shot is blocked by Borja Perez.

69': Dicka gets on the end of a delightful ball from a corner kick but he only manages to find the side-netting! 

65': Borja Perez is on hand again to stop a dangerous cross into the box and goalkeeper Dagar stands strong and saves the effort that came from the resulting ball.

62': GOOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!!!! Danmaiwa gets on the end of the resulting freekick at the edge of the box. His initial attempt is parried by the keeper but Ralte managed to get on the resulting attempt and give East Bengal an unassailable lead.

57': East Bengal still have the upper hand in terms of score and performance on field. Mohun Bagan haven't had much substance in the game other than a few flashes of individual brilliance here and there. 

54': Kinowaki floats a delightful ball into the box but Faiaz's header is off target. 

53': Manoj Mohammad goes into the referee's books now for a committing a foul close to the touchline.

50': Kingsley misjudged a long pass and Jobby Justin was through on goal but the defender recovered in time to thwart the move. 

49': Tempers are flaring as Omar and Justin clash at the centre of the park. The referee is now taking charge of matters as he brings both the players and asks them to talk it out. 

48': Jhonny Acosta has gone into the referee's books now.

Halftime: The derby has lived upto its hype sofar! Mohun Bagan went early in the lead with a goal from Azhar against the run of play but make no mistake, it has been all East Bengal so far. It didn't take them long to level up the score with a spectacular build-up move where Jobby Justin split the Bagan defence to find Ralte through on goal. There were hints of an offside but the referee's team allowed the goal to stand. Jaime Colado has been outstanding on tyhe pitch, running rings around the Bagan midfield and defence and has attracted a lot of fouls as a result. East Bengal go into the lead right at the death where Danmawia's header from Lalrindika's cross teed off superbly for Justin who finished the ball with ana crobatic scissor kick- highlight of the first half! 

45': The referee's whistle brings an eventful first half of football to an end.

44': GOOOOOOAAALLLLL!! Danmaiwa tees off the ball for Jobby Justin who finishes with an acrobatic finish! What an astounding finish, you can't get tired of watching the replay over and over again unless you're a Bagan supporter of course. 

42': Dicka and Kisekka have cut frustrating figures for much of this half and that is down to the trmendous work Borja Perez and Jhonny Acosta have done in shutting them down.

41': Mohun Bagan are making their first change in the game. Faiaz comes on form the bench to replace Azharuddin Mallick, the goalscorer.

40': Jobby Justin failed to capitalise from a mistake by the Bagan defence and the ball finds its way to the hands of Sankar Roy.

35': Ralte's corner is sent deep into the box which is cleared safely by Bagan defence.

34': East Bengal have a corner here. Can they capitalise from it?

31': Jaime Colado has been on the receivig end of a lot of attention and goes without saying, unnecessarily fouls from the Bagan defence which is a testament to how brilliant he's been tonight! 

28': The action has heated up in typical Derbyesque fashion with both sides not holding back on the challenges and in their efforts of retrieving possession. 

25': Borja Gomez has been solid at the back so far.

23': Yuta Kinowaki goes into the referee's book after a silly challenge on Jaime.

20': Jobby Justin and Jaime are combining beautiful in the final third.

19': Shilton Paul sees a yellow card for protesting from the sidelines for an offside!

18': GOOOOALLLLLLLLL! East Bengal come back into the game with a superb buildup play. Laldanmaiwa Ralte finished off an exquisite pass from Jobby Justin that split the Mohun Bagan defence. We have an exciting game on our hands ladies and gents!

16': Rakshit Dagar has had torrid ten minutes. The goalkeeper came out to punch the ball form the corner but missed it completely. Fortunately, his defenders were on hand to save the day.

15': The goal has caught the East Bengal defence in shock and they are now making silly mistakes and living on the edge. Mohun Bagan look to capitalise from the corner!

13': GOOOOOAAAALLLLL! Mohun Bagan go ahead into the game against the run of play. Omar displayed superb trickery down the wing and laid off a superb ball into the box. Rakshit Dagar could only parry it away to Azhar's feet and the Indian didn't miss the chance to tap it home!

12': A yellow card is shown to Kingsley for a rather silly elbow on Jaime.  

10':  It's ten minutes on the clock and the two sides are jostling and vying for possession at the middle of the park. 

8': Jaime Santos has been very impressive down the wings so far and Mohun Bagan defenders need to keep an eye on him. 

6': Mohun Bagan are still trying to claw their way into the game but its East Bengal dominating possession and the early chances so far.

4': East Bengal managed to weave their way to the edge of the Mohun Bagan penalty area but the shot from Ralte sailed over the top!  

2': And this time Mohun Bagan is trying to build their way from the back but have been unable to penetrate far into the East Bengal half of the pitch.

4:50 PM: Nothing brings about the feisty spirit of Kolkata and the passion and craze for Indian football like the Kolkata derby does and we await another potential encounter on this beautiful evening at the Salt Lake Stadium

4:45 PM. The players have completed their pre-match warm up training and have headed into the dugout. It's a packed crowd here at the Salt Lake Stadium, with both sets of fans making themselves heard. 

4:40 PM. The big news of the day comes with the debut of Jamie Santos Colado. Derby hero Azharuddin Mallick also makes a start, while Sheikh Faiaz can only make the bench. 

4:35 PM . The starting XI for the game is here. East Bengal- Dagar, Chullova, Acosta, Borja, Manoj, Aidara, Dika(C), Danmawia, Jamie Santos, Brandon, Joby.

4:30 PM- East Bengal have not defeated Mohun Bagan in the last seven outings across all competitions. Last time the Red and Gold Brigade defeated the Mariners was on 2nd April in 2016, where Do Dong Hyung scored a brace for the hosts to provide them with all three points.

4:20 PM- Both the Kolkata giants have started the league rather slowly and are currently occupying the seventh and eighth position respectively in the league standings. While the game is set to be the blockbuster of the weekend, it will also be a make or break fixture for either side.
