Five I-League 2020-21 Indian stars who might play in ISL next season

These players have the potential to take the next step into the premier league competition in India.
The I-League 2020-21 campaign concluded with Gokulam Kerala winning the title. The season had a fresh look with a new format, after being played over two phases. As ever, the competition once against showcased several players who went on to impress the fans. Among some of the best performers, a few individual players have the quality to take a step further and play in the ISL next year.
Here are the five I-League players who could switch to the ISL in the next season.
5. Emil Benny

Emil Benny showed a lot of promise with his display for Gokulam Kerala. The 20-year-old was crucial in guiding the team to the league title and impressed everyone with his mature display from the flanks.
Emil made 14 appearances for the Malabarians, scoring thrice and assisting two more. The youngster has one more year left on his contract with the southerners and will be on the radar of several ISL clubs, looking to add young blood to their attacking department.
4. Bryce Miranda

Bryce Miranda was sensational for Churchill Brothers. He played 15 games for the Red Machines, scoring a goal and assisting three more just this season. Despite his young age, Miranda was a regular starter for the club.
The 20-year-old winger showed maturity in an important role. He provided cover to the defenders and linked-up with the forwards well during transitions. He is likely to be another player chased by several ISL teams.
3. Huidrom Naocha Singh
Gokulam Kerala had another youngster perform exceptionally well for them. Huidrom Naocha Singh was a consistent performer for the Malabarians throughout the season. The right-back was solid in his defensive duties but impressed furthermore with his attacking intent.
The 21-year-old has caught the eye of several top teams and will be chased by clubs looking to add more domestic flair. Moreover, Huidrom Singh is a free-agent by May 31 as his contract with Gokulam comes to an end.
2. Phalguni Singh
Phalguni Singh was one of the many shining stars in a positive season for TRAU FC. The skipper was instrumental in the heart of the midfield and showed great leadership qualities. As the skipper of the team, he led by example and scored three goals and registered one assist.
A lot of ISL clubs have tasted success having Indian players in the heart of their midfield. Phalguni Singh is definitely one of the figures who is ready to take the next step and enter ISL.
1. Bidyashagar Singh

Bidyashagar Singh was not only the best Indian player in the I-League but perhaps the best player overall as well. The 23-year-old winger was exquisite for TRAU FC and ended up as the top scorer of the league with 12 goals and one assist in 15 appearances.
Bidyashagar Singh is rumored to be on the transfer list of several ISL teams. As per the reports, his former team SC East Bengal along with Chennaiyin FC and Bengaluru FC are all gunning for his signature.
