Gokulam Kerala sign winger Sourav K for Upcoming I-League season

The 20-year-old was part of Kerala's Santosh Trophy squad.

Kerala lad Sourav K has signed a three-year-long contract with Gokulam Kerala FC.

The 20-year-old winger is from Kannur and has been with the team since the start of the preseason camp, from which Gokulam head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese selected him.

Sourav started his football journey at KV Soccer Academy in Kannur at the age of 15. A student of SN College in Kannur he has represented Kannur University in the all-India inter-university football championship.

He was also part of previous Kerala’s Santosh Trophy camp that was terminated due to Covid_19. A left-side winger Sourav has pace and the technical ability to make inroads into the opposition box. He also has an eye for assists.

Gokulam Kerala's pre-season preparation

The Malabarians have been quite active in the transfer market and recently roped in Railways midfielder Charles Lourdusamy, who captained Chennai City FC last season. The defending I-League champions have also completed the signing of Deepak Devrani, Pawan Kumar, CK Ubaid, Naocha Singh, Rakshit Dagar, Akbar Khan, Deepak Singh among others.

Gokulam have also completed the signing of Cameroonian defender Aminou Bouba as a potential replacement for Mohamed Awal.
