Twenty-seven players of Gokulam Kerala FC are now in the selection camp. Of these, eight are new players, and the other eight are from the reserve team. Four foreigners will also join the camp after their signings and visa procedures are over.

Gokulam Kerala’s Italian head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese and other technical staff had already reached the city one week before to prepare for the camp.

“We are looking forward to defending the titles successfully and make a mark in the AFC Cup. With the right mentality and philosophy, we believe that the players would be able to achieve it,” said Vincenzo Alberto Annese on Monday.

“Like last year, we wanted to give opportunity for our reserve team players this year also. We have included eight of them in the pre-season camp. We believe that with the right preparation and a good pre-season, we can accomplish what we have already done last year,” said Gokulam Kerala FC president VC Praveen.

The new signings completed by the Malabarians this summer include defenders Muhammed Rafi and Muhammed Uvais who excelled in Kerala Premier League 2021-22, goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar, ex-NEROCA FC duo Akbar Khan and Shoib Akhtar and former TRAU FC footballer Krishnananda Singh.
