The attacking midfielder represented Sreenidi Deccan in the I-League last season.

Girik Khosla is set to pen a one-year contract with I-League side Real Kashmir, Khel Now can confirm. The 27-year-old previously featured for Sreenidi Deccan, where he played 13 matches and scored a goal for the Vizag-based outfit.

A source close to the development informed Khel Now, “Girik Khosla will pen his contract with the snow leopards. He’ll feature for them in the upcoming I-League campaign.”

As per sources, Real Kashmir management considers Girik Khosla as a perfect addition to improve the depth in their midfield. Moreover, Khosla's compatibility to play different positions in the game has added more interest from the club.

About The Player

Khosla started his career with the U-14 and U-17 teams of Mumbai FC where he captained the side. He made his debut for Minerva Punjab FC, where he was a significant member of the 2017-18 I-League winning team.

He featured in the Indian Super League (ISL) for NorthEast United and East Bengal. But unfortunately, he couldn't make a mark for himself due to meager game time. Khosla made just one ISL appearance for the Highlanders and didn't make the playing XI even once for East Bengal. The Vizag-based Sreenidhi Deccan FC was his destination last I-League season where he played 13 matches and scored a goal for the team.

Although an attacking midfielder, Khosla can play multiple positions in central midfield and right midfield. He featured mostly as a right midfielder for Sreenidhi Deccan. The player is technically built and has good vision and game reading capability. Speed and agility are the major traits of this midfielder.

Real Kashmir survived relegation by two points last season. The Snow Leopards finished with 14 points from a total of 17 matches and managed to pip the now-relegated Kenkre FC. The arrival of Khosla will surely add more options and creativity to the midfield for Real Kashmir.
