Gokulam Kerala sign midfielder Krishnananda Singh from TRAU FC

The 25-year-old excelled for TRAU FC in the last two seasons of the I-League.
Gokulam Kerala FC have signed Manipur’s versatile midfielder Khungdongbam Krishnananda Singh on a three-year contract. The player, who started his professional career at TRAU FC, has played two I-League seasons for the Manipur-based club.
The 25-year-old can play in all positions in the midfield and was deployed in both the left and right flanks at his former club. He has also played as an attacking and defensive midfielder for the Manipur side in the past two I-League seasons.

Krishnananda Singh has scored three goals so far in the I-league and has also made two assists. His debut goal in the I-League was against his new club Gokulam Kerala FC.
He has appeared in a total of 24 matches for TRAU. The player will add more vigour to the Malabarians under Italian coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese, who prefers an attacking style of football.

“I am glad to be part of the current I-League champions. The playing style of Gokulam Kerala was top-notch last season and I believe I can add strength to them. The club is very ambitious about its target and their philosophy aligns with mine. I am looking forward to winning more titles with the Kerala side,” said Krishnananda.

“We have been constantly tracking Krishnananda’s performance for the past two seasons. We loved his versatility and his urge to attack. He will strengthen our team for sure,” said Gokulam Kerala FC President VC Praveen.
GKFC earlier signed former India U-19 starlet Muhammed Rafi and left-footed centre-back Muhammed Uvais for the upcoming season. Rafi, 20, is a versatile defender and can play both as a centre-back and wing-back. He won the SAFF Under-19 Championship with the Indian youth side and also represented India in the AFC qualifying rounds. Rafi played for MA Football Academy in the last edition of the Kerala Premier League, while Uvais represented KSEB in the same tournament.
