Experienced Luiz Greco joins RoundGlass Punjab FC

The Brazilian has previously worked in India, with Mohun Bagan and later with Gokulam Kerala.
RoundGlass Punjab FC have appointed Luiz Greco as their Technical Lead Scouting. The I-League outfit made the announcement regarding the same on Tuesday evening.
"The experienced Luiz Greco is joining us as our Technical Lead Scouting. Having a good eye for youngsters as a scout, he could pick out young talents in India as well as abroad which could promote youth development as a whole in the club," the club statement read. “It’s an exciting challenge and I’ll try and make a significant contribution to this wonderful club," Greco said after joining the club.
About Luiz Greco
A person with over 40 years of experience in football, Luiz Greco started out as a physical trainer. He eventually became a head coach and then a Technical Director in different countries like North America, Caribbean and Asia.
In his home country of Brazil, he was a Football Director in adult and youth teams, International Affairs Director and a Business Development Manager with clubs like Cruzerio FC, Atletico Paranaense, Santos FC, Figueirense FC and América Futebol Clube. In February 2008, he worked as a Scout in Shakhtar Donetsk for almost 10 years.
Greco established the Mohun Bagan academy in 2006 and changed the fortunes of Gokulam Kerala as their Technical Advisor in 2017. He is now set to return to India for a new spell, this time in Punjab.

Meanwhile, RoundGlass Punjab FC wrapped up their 2020-21 I-League season at fourth place on the points' table. Earlier this month, they also parted ways with head coach Curtis Fleming by mutual consent, and are currently on the hunt for his replacement.
