AIFF announce strategic partnership with Rangers FC

The Scottish side will deliver a wide range of programmes to support thousands of Indian coaches.
All Indian Football Federation have announced a new strategic partnership with Rangers FC, wherein Rangers will deliver a wide range of programmes to support thousands of Indian coaches covering areas such as talent identification, scouting and analysis.
As a FIFA and Asian Football Confederation member, the AIFF is the governing body for football in India, including the Indian National team, Indian Super League, the I-League, the Super Cup, as well as managing the IWL, women’s teams, youth national squads amongst others.
Savio Medeira, Technical Director and Head of Coach Education, AIFF, said: “I am honoured that Rangers FC have signed an agreement with us. We are trying in our own way to be self-sustainable in various technical programmes. The association with this historic club will add extreme value to our coach education programme, scouting processes, talent identification, and analysis amongst others, all in our endeavour to move forward together.

Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations at Rangers, continued: “We are delighted to join the AIFF in this new partnership as the club continues to drive forward our international strategy.
“Football is growing rapidly in India and this partnership will provide both Rangers and the AIFF with a number of opportunities as we look to provide support to coaches and members.

Rangers had earlier entered with Hero ISL club Bengaluru FC.
